My Order Was Canceled by the Seller
Why a seller might cancel your order and what happens next.
Sometimes a seller may cancel your order before it ships. When a seller cancels, you always receive a full refund — no action is required on your end to initiate it.
Why a seller might cancel your order:
Sellers may cancel an order for reasons allowed under ShopEarl marketplace policy:
- The part is out of stock or no longer available
- The part was damaged or defective before it could be shipped
- The listing contained an error (wrong price, wrong part number, etc.)
- Shipping costs are prohibitively high for the order
- The shipping address could not be delivered to
All of these are valid cancellation reasons. In every case, you receive a full refund.
What to do after a seller cancellation:
- Check your email — you will receive two emails from ShopEarl: one confirming the cancellation and one confirming your refund
- Your refund is processed automatically — no action is needed on your part
- If you still need the part, search for it on ShopEarl and place a new order. You can also call our sales team at (312) 971-2616 for help finding another option.
What if the seller canceled my order and then relisted the same part?
In rare cases, a seller may cancel your order and then relist the same part — sometimes at a higher price. We understand how frustrating this is, and we take it seriously.
If this happens to you, contact our support team with your order number. We will reach out to the seller directly to address it. This behavior erodes trust in the marketplace, and ShopEarl does not condone it.
Important notes:
- Seller cancellations always result in a full refund. You will never be charged for an order the seller canceled.
- Cancellations are final and cannot be reinstated. If you still need the part, you will need to place a new order.
- If your order was not canceled by the seller but you want to cancel it yourself, see How to Cancel Your Order.
