Return Policy: What's Eligible and What's Not
A clear breakdown of what can be returned, what can't, and the conditions that apply.
ShopEarl accepts returns within 30 days of the delivery date. The part must be in the same condition as when you received it.
What is eligible for return:
- Parts that arrived damaged or defective
- Parts that are materially different from the listing
- Parts that don't fit your vehicle
- Parts you ordered by mistake or no longer need (return shipping cost applies — see "Return Shipping: Who Pays?")
- Parts within the 30-day return window in the same condition as received
What is NOT eligible for return:
- Parts that have been installed, altered, or used
- Parts outside the 30-day return window (unless the seller agrees to accept the return)
- Parts covered by the Restricted Parts Policy (noted on the listing page)
Condition requirements:
Used parts should be expected to show signs of prior use — that is normal. "Same condition as received" means you have not installed, modified, or further damaged the used, new or remanufactured part after delivery.
After 30 days:
Returns are not guaranteed after 30 days. Some sellers may accept late returns at their discretion, but this is not required. Contact us if you need to request a late return, and we will reach out to the seller on your behalf.
Important notes:
- The seller may request photos or other documentation before approving a return.
- Exchanges are not guaranteed on ShopEarl due to the unique nature of many of our parts. To get a different part, return the original and place a new order.
- Engine and transmission returns follow this same return process. For returning an old core after receiving a replacement, see How to Return Your Core.
